Before You Decide

The questions owners usually ask before booking a program.

Will my dog be crated all day?

No. Your dog gets roughly 1.5 to 2 hours of formal obedience work spread across the day, plus structured walks, long duration commands, and real world field trips. Crate time is part of the routine, not the default: when we cannot give your dog full attention and supervision, they rest in a crate. That keeps the routine structured and keeps every dog safe. We are not a free-for-all facility with a large boarding population. We take small groups of 4 to 6 dogs per month so each one gets proper care and monitoring throughout.

Can I visit, or get updates, while my dog is in the program?

Visits, generally no. Removing your dog from their usual surroundings is a large part of what makes the program work, so we keep that reset intact. For aggression cases we sometimes ask for 1 to 2 owner lessons during the program, but visits are the exception rather than the rule.

Updates, yes. You receive a structured written report every week covering what your dog has been working on and how they are progressing. We keep it weekly rather than daily so the reports stay substantive and so training time stays focused on your dog.

What if the training does not hold once he is home?

The go-home process is built to prevent that. At the end of the program we work with you directly so you get the hands-on training needed to understand and maintain everything your dog has learned.
We will be straight with you: no program, private lessons included, guarantees a dog will listen on its own. Dozens of clients come to us each year after failed lesson packages elsewhere. What actually determines whether your dog listens is your handler skills, holding your dog accountable, and setting the right lifestyle at home. That is exactly what we hand off to you.

Do you guarantee results?

We aim for a 50 to 85 percent overall improvement in your dog's behavior. We do not offer a 100 percent guarantee, and we would rather tell you that upfront than oversell you. These are living animals with minds of their own, and owner commitment, consistency, follow-through, and genetics all shape the outcome. What we do guarantee is 100 percent support and commitment from our side for as long as you are consistent and putting in the work. Hundreds of dogs have come through this program with strong results.

What if my dog is too aggressive for the program?

That is usually the reason to call, not a reason to rule yourself out. We are known for taking on hardy cases, including dogs other trainers have turned away, with a high overall success rate. If your dog has bitten a person or another dog, charges the door, or is seriously reactive, the 8 Week program is the one built for it. It combines behavior modification, extensive real world proofing, and long-term habit development, along with full go-home coaching and ongoing support. Shorter programs are better suited to minor issues. Please do not screen yourself out. Call us and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right fit.
